German luxury car maker Audi seems to be working majorly on strengthening its global portfolio. After launching Audi A8 L last month and with A6 facelift in pipeline, Audi has unveiled the next generation of its popular luxury sedan RS7 Sportback. Audi first showcased the RS7 at 2013 Detroit Motor Show. The 2014 Audi RS7 Sportback has got a series of minute changes making it even better in terms of looks.

The new RS7 Sportback carries mesmerizing looks with slightly changed front and restyled rear. Its front sports a single frame trapezoidal shaped grille with Audi insignia and a reworked bumper with fog lamps. It has got restyled LED headlights as well. Customers can opt for Matrix headlights as well for a change.

Side looks as elegant as ever with refreshingly styled 20-inch alloy wheels and different colored side view mirrors. The rear has got tweaked tail lamps with LED graphics. The new Audi RS7 has got interesting changes inside. It has got a rearranged instrument panel with an updated optional MMI (Multi-media Interface) Plus infotainment system. It also features modified shift paddles, altered controls for air-vents etc.

Mechanically, the new RS7 is same. It carries the same 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 direct injection petrol engine with a power of 552bhp mated to an 8-speed automatic gearbox. The all four wheel drive through Audi’s Torsen torque sensing four wheel drive system, RS7 promises an unmatchable driving comfort. With a top speed of 255kmph, new RS7 promises to go from 0-100kmph in just 3.9 seconds. The top speed can be increased to 280kmph or 305kmph with an optional Dynamic package. The luxuriously powerful RS7 has same dimensions in its new avatar.

The new RS7 Sportback is available in multiple color options including Sepang Blue, Mythos Black, Glacia White and Floret Silver.

It would be too early to say about its Indian launch now. But we can expect the luxury sedan soon as Audi is strategically planning to strengthen its Indian network because of stiff competition from its German counterparts Mercedes-Benz and BMW in the luxury cars segment.
