New Ford Endeavour comes to India

Ford has launched the new version of its muscle car Endeavour in India. The popular mid-size Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) from the American car manufacturer has gone through a major facelift to enter its fourth generation.

The 2014 Endeavour sees a lot of inside and outside changes. Exterior looks soft yet powerful with redesigned headlights, front grille, front and rear bumper and fog lamps. Its redesigned 16-inch alloy wheels make it even more attractive. Blind Spot Detection feature has been added to the passenger side mirror to give driver a better visibility. Overall body is curvier than the previous one and looks elegantly appealing.

Inside, a SATNAV entertainment system has been loaded with Bluetooth Audio control to make the new Endeavour an enjoyable drive. Added reverse camera makes parking a lot easier. The cabin space is pretty much same though.

The new Endeavour is powered by a standard 156PS 3.0-litre diesel engine with a claimed fuel efficiency of 10.68kmpl. Ford has launched the 2014 Endeavour in three variants – first is a 2.5-litre engine model with a manual gearbox and two-wheel drive and the second one is 3.0-litre engine model with automatic transmission. The second model comes in 4*2 and 4*4 configurations with cruise control.

The base price for 2014 Endeavour begins at Rs. 19.83 lakh which goes up to Rs. 23.06 lakh for top variant.

Ford claims the new Endeavour to be more adventurous and sporty. And the first look of 2014 Endeavour suggests the same. It’ll certainly be loved by the car enthusiasts who like to go hard on road.

Known as Ford Everest in European market, Ford first introduced Endeavour in 2003 in Indonesia. It has gone through four facelifts since then.
