Mercedes-Benz reveals C-Class Estate for European market
Luxury is synonymous with Mercedes-Benz in the automobile world. To further strengthen its association with luxury, world’s one of the finest luxury car makers have revealed its much anticipated passenger car, 2015 C-Class Estate, for the European market. The car will join the new C-Class series from the German auto manufacturer.
The new C-class Estate sports a powerfully elegant look with extended overall length and increased wheelbase. Its strikingly bold front with extended grille, sharp sides and strongly broad rear pose a powerful image of luxury. M-B offers the all new C-Class Estate in one petrol and two diesel engine variants – C200 (petrol), C220 Bluetec and C250 Bluetec (both diesel).
The diesel engine variants are powered by a 2.1-litre, four-pot, turbo-diesel engine to produce a power of 168bhp in C220 Bluetec model and 201bhp in C250 Bluetech model. Its only petrol variant C200 is powered by a 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine which produces a maximum power of 179bhp. C250 Bluetech diesel is the most powerful one among all the variants.
The 2015 C-Class Estate lengths 96mm longer than the previous model with an overall length of 4702mm. The luxury car also features 80mm longer wheelbase to provide a more stable and controlled ride. Overall increased dimensions have increased the legroom as well. Comfortable for five, the new C-Class Estate will have 45mm more legroom and increased headroom now providing an unmatchable comfort. Its rear has got more comfortable too with increased width of 40mm. The cabin space is also improved by around 5 litres.
Electrically adjustable foldable rear seats, technically advanced centre console and driving modes make the new C-Class Estate even more comfortable. Borrowed from its sedan version, its interior is pretty much same. It comes with five configurable driving modes – Comfort, Eco, Sport, Sport+ and Individual providing an unforgettable driving experience.
Its strong and light weight aluminum body allows easy mobility in the cities. Equipped with advanced infotainment features and driving assistance system, new C-Class promises to give you a highly comfortable and enjoyable ride.
Mercedes-Benz is planning to launch the super luxury car around the end of this year. The car is expected to be on sale in Sep this year for European market though. It’ll be too early to predict its India launch now. The car’s cost reportedly hasn’t been revealed yet but it is certainly expected to cost more than its predecessor.
The hybrid and six-cylinder variants of 2015 C-Class Estate are on the way already and we can hope to see them by next year.
