Ford India Announced Sales Booking Of 25000 Ford Figo In 100 Days
Ford Figo launched in March 2010 has gained 25000 sales booking within 100 days of its launch, today Ford India announced. Ford Figo attracted more than 70 % perspectives of new car buyers and has helped in acceleration of growth in all markets in India.
On its success the president and managing director of Ford India, Michael Boneham, expressed- “Reaching the 25,000 sales booking milestone in close to 100 days continues the Figo’s remarkable rise and rise in popularity among Indian consumers,” he also said that, “Figo’s success has exceeded expectations in terms of sales and target markets. Our début compact car offering is being very well received by a wide range of customers and this response has been instrumental in our efforts to increase market share.”
Ford Figo has assisted the company highly in recording more than double the volumes of 235% year-on-year in half year sales, with a total of 32,755 units compared to last year’s 13,897 units. Ford India is also celebrating its first order of export of 1200 Ford Figos to South African Ford Motor Company.
Ford sales volume has increased in the months between January to June on a year-on-year basis as it has increased sale in Tier 1 market including Chennai (279%), Mumbai (234%) and the NCR region (223%). If we talk about regional sales, then be assured there are similar responses as it has sold 212% in north, 127% in south, 339% in east and 277% in west.
In Tier II market the sale is double and even triple like in Chandigarh, Pune, Ahmedabad, Kochi, Indore, Coimbatore, Bhopal and Jaipur, and in Tier III markets sell is double like in Dehradun, Trichy, Aurangabad, Nashik, and Kanpur.
