Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL), India’s second largest carmaker is all set to unveil its much-awaited compact car- Hyundai India Ha/Eon. It is expected to be launched on October 13, 2001. Earlier, the car has been speculated to be launched on October 14, 2011 but later on, the program has been proponed. After successful story of Hyundai Santro, Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) is again coming with a compact car, which is affordable and easy on pocket. Hyundai India Ha/Eon will be priced around Rs 2.5 lakh, as the base variant is not loaded with much feature, however the improved variant with more features will be priced higher. The small car segment of automobile industry of India may face a tough competition with introduction of Hyundai India Ha/Eon as it seems to fulfill expectations of small car buyers with its smart looks and low price. It will be an 814cc small car with six variants--lite, D-lite (O), Era, Magna, Magna (O) and Sportz. The advance booking for the car has already been started and it has created a positive buzz in the auto industry. It is loaded with features like a three-cylinder 814cc engine, attractive and comfortable interiors, power windows, power steering and a peak torque of 76.5 Nm at 4,000 rpm.
