MAHINDRA XUV 500 UPCOMING CAR DETAIL

India's leading manufacturer of utility vehicles, (M&M), has launched its new global sport utility vehicle XUV 500. After success of Scorpio and Xylo, XUV 500 would again bring the company in limelight. It is expected to get same welcome from Indian buyers as of Scorpio. The SUV will be priced at Rs. 10.80 lakhs. It will be available in both 4x2 and 4x4 variants. Mahindra & Mahindra has invested Rs 650 crores to develop the XUV500 and it is the first product from its Chennai research and development centre. It will be manufactured at the Chakan plant. Presently, the XUV500 will be available in these cities of India- Delhi, Bangalore, Mumbai, Chennai and Pune and as per M&M President (Automotive and Farm Equipment) Pawan Goenka "In the next six months, it will be launched in Australia, South and Central America, Western Europe and SAARC countries," The company has initial production facility of producing up to 2,000 units a month at its plant. The XUV 500 is India’s first indigenously developed monocoque SUV. It is also the first to provide a transverse engine layout with global standards of quality and technology.
