New Porsche Macan is here
Known German luxury car maker Porsche has revealed Macan’s base model. While its other variants Macan S and Macan Turbo are already in the market, the base model of Macan is expected to get a good response. The new Macan interestingly brings Porsche’s 4-cylinder engine layout back nearly after 20 years.
Looks pretty much similar to its other variants, Porsche Macan will have a 2.0 L 4-cylinder turbocharged engine to give an expected speed of 0-100kmph in just 6.9 seconds. The base model of Macan will be equipped with interestingly smart features like Active Suspension Management, Parking assistance system and dual tail pipe setup. It’ll have standard 18-inch wheels.
The Macan base model will give you an exclusive musical experience as it is equipped with Burmester High-End Surround Sound System which has 16 amplifier channels and 16 speakers. Its extra beautiful interior, 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox, multi-functional steering wheel and driving assistance system make it a super luxury drive.
New Macan’s exterior is genetically wonderful like all other Porsche cars. Inside, it’s extra spacious with huge leg room space and large cabin space.
Revealed at the ongoing Beijing Motor Show in China, the compact SUV from Porsche is a 5-door hatchback body style. Interestingly, it’s named after an Indonesian word for tiger. The initial Macan models were launched in 2013 and after almost a year, Porsche unveiled its base model. It would compete with BMW X3 and Audi Q5 in the mid-size SUV segment.
Elegant as ever, Porsche do not forget to insert its luxury DNA in all its cars and the new Macan base model is the latest example of it. The car is expected to hit Indian roads later this year with a price tag of Rs 90 lakh to Rs 1 crore.
