Mahindra & Mahindra coming up with Scorpio EX

Mahindra & Mahindra has launched an entry level version of its flagship model Scorpio which is called Scorpio EX. The new model offers a mileage of 14kmpl mileage (as per ARAI) and is powered by a 75bhp m2DiCR engine.  The new model is priced at Rs.7.21 lakhs (ex-showroom Pune, for BSIV).

The new 2.5 litre m2DiCR engine has 220NM torque with 75bhp power and is a product of proficient engineering.  It comes with fuel-saving Micro Hybrid technology due to which it intelligently switches the engine into the standby mode, whenever it is not required – making certain lower fuel consumption while being more environment-friendly too. The Scorpio Ex emits lower emissions as it is compliant with stringent BSIV emission norms, leading to a reduced carbon footprint.

Supplementary features include crash protection crumple zones in order to protect passengers in the untoward event of a collision and the digital immobilizer that protects the vehicle from any kind of theft. In addition, effortless acceleration allows the vehicle to go from 0 to 60 kmph in hardly 11.2 seconds. The Scorpio Ex is accessible in four attractive colours namely Rocky Beige, Fiery Black, Diamond White and Mist Silver.
