appearenc,handling v good.I HAVE DRIVEN 600KMS.people look at the car.steering is very good and easy to turn.interiors very beatiful.engine smooth..particularly at above 40kmph speed.fuel economy tobe seen .now 10km city. AC v.good.Some reviews revealed that the gears r notchy.It is wrong. Gears r very Smooth. A very good car for 6+ lakhs on road.

Initial Impression - 100 kms driven Exterior: The colour of my car is Cashmere and it looks pretty handsome in this shade. Have seen quite a few Aveos in the colour lately. The build quality is good and the doors being resaonably heavy close with a resounding thud. Overall the car looks and feel quite solid. Interiors: I must say that the interior of the car is indeed one of the best in its class, if not the best. The quality of the plastics used is very good when compared to the other cars in its segment (Ikon, Logan, SX4) that I considered before buying. The dual tone interiors (black and beige) give the car a classy look. The new speedometer/tachometer cluster looks fantastic at night with a combination of green backlight and glowing red dials. Space is generous with enough room to stretch your legs in the front as well as at the back. I would say, its similar to the Honda City, maybe an inch less. Performance (Engine, Gearbox, Brakes, AC, Suspension): Engine - The engine feels very silet when turned on and unlike the 1.6 logan that i tested sometime back, there is no vibration felt through the gear stick. The engine feels very smooth as the car gains momentum and the smoothness is retained as you move to higher gears. It definitely feels smoother than the Zen and Baleno. Since the car is new, I have not pushed it beyond 2500 rpm in any gear and have only reached to 80-85 kms/hr on the DND Flyway. The torque is very good and the car has no problem going at 35-40 kms in the 4th gear. The engine pulls well and is quite eager to respond the accelerator. But the car does feel a litle sluggish below 1800 rpm in the 2nd gear with the AC on, however, once the needle moves above 2000 rpm, the engine feels eager to move ahead. I have read that this is a VGIS characteristic but I am a tad disappointed with this behaviour. Will report this when I take it for the 1st checkup after 1000 kms. Gearbox - The new gearbox is much better that the previous one. The shift quality is much improved with the movements being direct. The earlier shifts were vague and notchy. So, I feel GM has done a reasonably good job with the gear box which was much needed. Brakes- I feel that there is slight vibrations when I try to decelerate from a reletively high speed. I am not sure if its a problem with all aveos or its just the case with my car. Otherwise brakes are quite effective. I guess the 185/60 Bridgestone Turanza also support the brakes pretty well. Air conditioning - is up to the mark and one can feel the chill very soon. I would say that the effectiveness of the AC can be compared to my baleno which is saying quite a lot. Suspension - The suspension does a very good job of soaking the uneven roads and potholes of the city. The gas filled shockers are more silent than my friends Fiesta. Overall, they perform up to my expectations. Fuel Efficiency: Haven’t calculated the mileage yet. Got it filled (auto cut) yesterday, so will report about her drinking habits soon. UPDATE Just calculated its mileage for the first time. Total kms run - 346 95 % city driving (5% DND Flyway) AC on - 60 to 70% FE - 11.2 Overall: I am very happy with the car. Will post more updates and I drive it more. Arup

a very good car compared to fiesta,city,sx4.easy to handle.more importantly the gear shift is very smooth.no doubt at all.

Drives very smooth and better looking car than many of its competitors. The only draw back as I have mentioned is its milage. My car milage is about 14 km/l, which is better then it claims. On highway 18km/l.

this car is true value for money.except city mileage every thing fine.long it is giving 14+kmpl.very easy to drive.most importantly the gear shift is very very smooth,ac very cool.blazing red is an eye catching colour.

It is stylish but in comparision with others cars it is back...This is mid segment car and tere is so many cars better than this one. But Chevy is known for its performance and Engine.So it will be there in the market for a long time...

| The car (Aveo) over all is a good car. It provides the desired value for money. But however it seems to have not been desinged for the roads of West Bengal or similar. The car body & interiors make a lot of racket. Not expected from brands like GM. Also the dashboard reflects on the windsreens & is mighty risky while drivind under bright lights or daylight. Interior fittings/plastics are very creeky. A car buff would probably live in their work-shop |

I have purchased the car recently and I am very happy to have purchased the car. The entire finishing of the car interior as well as exterior and the engine placement is just perfect. Somehow I feel tis car has not got the right kind of attention of the buyers it should have got.

Dear Readers. No doubt GM has created wonderful vehicles but I am one of those unlucky ones who have been cheated by a GM deal named "Triumph Motors" They had sold me a used, damaged, accidental and improperly repaired car. So kindly don\'t go to this fraud dealer for buying a new car or getting your car serviced/repaired. Because they are cheaters and will sell you used, repaired, damaged cars. Moreover they use duplicate and local spare parts to increase their profits. There by cheating with customers and playing with their lives. They are noware near GM standards. I bought this Spark LS variant on April 10. I have done 5600 kms in the last 8 months. Last month I with my family of 4 was going at a speed of 10kmph when I got a sudden jerk and noise and my car got jammed. I opened up my engine and found that the engine mounting had broken and the car\'s engine from left side had fallen down. The car was not in a position to move even an inch. Almighty saved us from a very big accident. I got a recovery van from a GM authorised dealer. The workshop people had shown us the duplicate and local parts used in the car by Triumph Motors which caused us this big problem. My repair bill was 25000 and Triumph motors are not yet admitting thier fault. So I would recommend do not buy cars from Triumph motors. Its better not to buy cars than to buy from such frauds which can cause someone\'s life. Anshuman Jain

Excellent car, must give a try, better performance and superb interior, worth purchasing in place of Honda city. BUT do not ever thing of buying from METRO CHEVROLET Saftherjung enclave or Aruna Asaf Ali Road, Vasant Kunj.- Big cheat, Owner and staff shall put you in trouble [ Third time this show room has changed its delership } recently changed from RAMA HUNDAI to Metro Chevrolet. Think twice before you plan to visit Metro Chevrolet
