Land Rover Cars in India

Designed in 1948 in United Kingdom by Maurice Wilks, Land Rover originally referred to one specific vehicle which was an all – terrain and a Multi – Purpose vehicle. Launched at the Amsterdam Motor Show, Land Rover was later used to brand several distinct models. This automaker has manufactured vehicles under a succession of owners, including British Leyland, British Aerospace and BMW. In 2000, BMW sold the company to Ford Motor Company, who further sold it to Tata Motors in 2008. Second to Jeep, Land Rover is one of the longest surviving four wheel drive brands that serves the Indian market with its stalwart and burly models like Range Rover, Freelander 2 and Discovery 3.
