I purchsed this car on finance of 2.55 lacs giving EMI of 5649/ but after purchased I found this very cramp from inside very small boot space specially very poor pickup in ac oh. I purchased it for time being to as I wanted to purchase Swift VDI but its waiting was long so I purchased Alto LXI as I heard its average is very good, but with AC on around 90% I am getting average of around less then 12 in city driving after first service Maruti service center works manager says in AC on versas AC off average difference is 4 to 5 km.But in big cars I thing droop of average in AC OFF & ON is 1.5 to 2 km only. I think average of around 12 km are of Wagnor or Estilo too now I am regretting why I have not purchased Wagonr or Estilo as its power & space both are more as compared to Alto. I could get above cars in around EMI. Of 1200/ per month more but………….. For small family like HAM DO HARAE DO Alto LXI is very good car its power starring is very good .Pickup is very good with AC off I drive till Shimla & loved its power starring on hilly road. I found with AC off around 60% city & 40% highway average is around 18 to 19.

The vehicle fuel consumption is more than the company claims. It gives average between 14-16 kmpl without ac and 12-14 kmpl with ac on highways which is much lower than the other cars in the same segment. Even the 1000 cc cars gives this average. To add more when complaints is lodged with maruti is is not being attended by the service engineers of maruti posted at various head quarters. In stead of attending the customers they seems to be employee of dealer in their area.

Have driven both over 200kms at a stretch many times,over the past year,so can authoritatively state below facts.Driving & Foot pedal position of Wagon R is way better than Santro,which has no space for your feet and too closely packed pedals(for my height- 5 ft 10in).Is strictly a 4 seater,but both seats at back can be RECLINED BACK ALSO by the same lever used to flip seats forward-Good for dozing on longer drives-Not possible on Santro,which also has a BAD rear seat ride.VISIBILITY-Excellent all round,airy and spacious feel compared to Claustrophobic santro.Road feel is LESS/BAD in Power steering model as it provides too much assist-not reqd over parking speeds.MILAGE-Have got 15/16 With A/c on highways.Arnd 12 in Town.SANTRO is slightly better her with 17 & 13.Santro has a better gearbox feel and slightly better build (??)

The company ad. about fuel cost saving with gas is all nonsense. My car costs me more per km on gas than on petrol. Gas 37/- and 11 km/lt. and petrol 52 and16 km/lt.

Best for Indian roads, I owned both Wagon R and Santro. I feel more comfortable in Wagon R rather than Santro.

Well if you are looking for the worst car on the earth then please go for maruti wagon R LPG mode . In case of LPG within city limit it gives the mileage of 8 km per lts Rs37.00 i.e Rs4.65 per km, in petrol it gives the mileage of 12 kms RS52.00 per lts Rs4.33 per km. On NH test shows LPG gives 14per km i.e Rs2.64 & in petrol the mileage is Rs 2.88. Any body interested to get the test report of MUL in this regard as well as the reply furnished by the engineer of MUl is with me. I request all the concern persons to please follow up this matter to the media as well as to thje concerned authorities

Its a good car for people looking for money value and fuel economy, but the only thing intolerable for this price band is hard suspension & oscillation in easy turnings/ high speed. I have Wagon-R Duo completing mileage of 10,000kms.And i m really disappointed with its Suspension among its segment car. The wheels are too small, and suspension are not enabled to control reverse action of jerk which is the only reason of its bouncing movement even on small bump.Which is not at all in Santro. I tried to change its wheels and suspension to rectify this problem but company people said it can\'t be altered for any of them. Apart from this major drawback wagon-R have strait rear seat rest, hard cushion, less pickup and frequent gear shift in city. Driving performance like grip on road, power steering, city drive is perfect, but for people who r looking for a car with complete comfort its not suggested. I m happy with its average in LPG/petrol and its height for easy night driving.But Maruti should modify its suspension & wheel size according to its height and weight(its lighter).I didn\'t bought Santro due to its hydraulic power steering, which is very sensitive in high speed, where as in Wagon-R it become manual in high speed resulting a better control in high speed. But on this price segment a better suspension should be delivered.

Maruti Suzuki Wagon R - a perfect family car. This car has all the features that are desired by me. Being a family car, everyone in my family of four enjoys the comfort ride. No matter how long distance I have to travel, my family loves the journey. Its extravagance exteriors, sporty tail fronts, high mounted stop lamps and swept back headlamps makes notice its presence. Being powered by 1061cc four cylinder, sixteen valve and 84 Nm of maximum torque at 3500 rpm, the ride becomes smooth. In fact, I am planning to buy the new model of this car soon.

I just bought Maruti Wagon R on my friend\'s suggestion and believe me it has really proved to be a handsome deal to have such an impressive car. Wagon R, another member of Maruti\'s family is borrowed it\'s design from Maruti\'s Indian version Suzuki Wagon R and possesses a boxy van-like appearance & posterior. I like it\'s exteriors very much that have a remarkable front grill, headlamps that are swept back , a sporty tail and stop lamps that are mounted high. Besides this, exterior curves & lines are extremely impressive.
