Rolls-Royce Cars in India
If there’s class to be defined in cars then Rolls-Royce blends into that mould quite succinctly. The curious partnership of Henry Royce who made the car and sold it to Charles Royce, the proprietor led to the formation of Rolls-Royce Limited on March 15, 1906. From there, the company went on to produce “Silver Ghost,” an improved six-cylinder phantom model in 1925 and replicated it in Springfield, Massachusetts in the United States which became famously known as the “Springfield Ghosts.” The car company went public in 1971 and it was only in 1987 that it was privatized as Rolls-Royce Holdings plc.
In India, Rolls-Royce, currently, has offices in New Delhi, Mumbai and Hyderabad with a new one opening soon in Chandigarh city. Here they have Phantom and Ghost series on sale which are nothing short of the finest examples of elegance on road. India’s relationship to the Rolls brand is a very old one. These automobiles were a fixture with the many royal families of the country. It was the ultimate symbol of luxury. Rolls-Royce has announced to launch its latest Ghost Series II in India towards the end of 2014. It sure is a work of art that symbolizes one’s status.
