Hyundai India Accent

I own a Hyundai Accent car - Model GVS. I bought this car from Bangalore in Jan 2004. The car has developed severe corrosion problems over the last 4 years (as early as 1 year after buying) Near the dicky On the door frames, just below the window pane Under the bonnet several places, including a gaping hole near the bonnet cover) Radiator support beam. We did not think that corrosion would spread to such an extent, but in what was the last straw, most recently the AC stopped working and when we took it to the service station they told us that the condenser had developed a leak. On further investigation they told us that this was due to the radiator hitting the condenser and damaging it and this happened because the common support beam on which both the radiator and the condensor sit was heavily damaged by corrosion and very weak.We did not expect such problems from a Hyundai car. We don't live in a place like Mumbai where corrosion can occur. I am attaching photographs of the radiator support beam and other areas of corrosion on the car body to this reviewIt is really disturbing that a Hyundai car could develop such severe corrosion problems so quickly. We went through considerable expenses to get the radiator beam and condenser problem fixed, However the other, extensive corrosion problems still remain. When we contacted Hyundai to either replace our car or at least reimburse us for the expenses incurred in solving the radiator beam related problems they said that there is nothing wrong with the car as such and refused to do anything except give an estimate and then do the work and charge for it. I would advice people to think twice before buying a Hyundai Accent GVS Photos attached.

decent performance with impressive fuel economy figures. handling could have been improved had it run on 14inch wheels atleast! central locking is missing!

this car has good features ,good looking but some problem in tappid of this car ,after 20000 km its making very noise like a diesel car , and fuel pump is not good in this car,tottally this car is good but not like santro and verna of hyundai

UNDAI ACCENT GLE ,is a great performer. work like a horse.excellent breaking will lead us to high speed.city driving is excellent. on highway accent will invade his rivals .fuel ecnomy is not bad.Best looks in its class. and great safety.

i saved rs 2 lacs by buying gle instead of honda zx.The interest from this amount more than compensates less average of 2 or 3 kms as compared to city.[reviews][review]

If you want to have a long car with excellent looks and at affordable price, it’s the car to buy. But I don’t know why company is not taking this car seriously? There are rumors in the market that Hyundai is going to stop the production in the market as they are emphasizing more on Verna. But they should keep in mind that this is a boys car and have a all together different segment than Verna. Please keep promoting and manufacturing this car forever. It’s a huge hit in the market and for sure it would be a good selling car if the company pays a little bit more attention on it. [reviews][review]

I drove a Hyundai CRDi for 3 years after which problems occured. If you are planning on buying a used be extemely careful. There is always something to replace everytime you take it to the Garage. My last two maintenances cost me Rs 8k average and the Dry shaft on the front wheels started to make noise at 50000km. It costs 40k to replace both. So watch it. I have sold me car in the same condition and will never buy a Hyundai car again.

I have taken Executive model a month ago and its great till now. great looks, excellent design, great interiors, good pick up and excellent on highways.

the car is designed only for one lakh kms, after that u have to change it, otherwise u will be in great trouble.good car upto one lakh km and worst car after that
