The main objective of these clubs is to enhance social interaction and socialization among the automobile owners. It provides them a platform where they can share their mutual experiences, problems and also help out those who are having problems with their cars.
Among the many existing automobile clubs in the country, Western India automobile Association (WIAA) is the most celebrated one. This club has a huge database of car related products on offer to its members.

Some of these include the likes of accessories, dealers, mechanics and garages, petrol pumps, spare part availability and car safety products. It also provides car insurance facilities for its members. It also comes up with safe driving tips for its members like using of seat belts, less use of cell phones while driving, proper speed range under all conditions and much more.
The members of this association can avail breakdown services, issue of international driver's license, issue of learner's license and domestic road schedules from its service station too.
Apart from the WIAA, there are quiet a few other automobile associations in India. These are Society of Indian automobile Manufacturers (SIAM), Automotive Components Manufacturer Association (ACMA) and Federation of automobile Dealers Association (FADA).
Among these, SIAM is known to represent 38 leading vehicle and vehicular engine manufacturing companies of India, while ACMA is represented by approximately 480 companies. However FADA, founded in 1964 primarily aims for protection and subsequent promotion of the Indian retail automobile market.
