Tata safari is one of the first Utility Vehicles which were introduced in the country long before the imported vehicles came to India. Few things which interested the buyers initially were the afFordable price tag which was associated with the vehicle along with the brand name of Tata. The cars evoked lot of interest initially as the car was a symbol of adventure and freedom however with the advent of superior Sport Utility Vehicles from outside and indigenously produced vehicles like the Scorpio among others, the safari seems to have fallen out of favour but with the launch of the safari Dicor the company hopes a turnaround of its fortunes.
The safari has been provided with a 3 liter Direct Injection Common Rail Engine which is a very contemporary version of a diesel engine which can provide very high level of fuel efficiency along with reduced vibration and noise.The car has an excellent pickup and can easily zip to 100 kmph in less than twenty seconds. The car has a turning radius of about six meters which can be considered as being quite competitive for its class, the comfort of driving the car is further accentuated by the power steering which makes driving this car convenient and easy.
The safari also has an adjustable driver seat which makes sure that you will always have a clear sight of the road while driving without being a giant. The Utility Vehicle also has a host of safety features in place which makes driving the safari and riding along this brute safer.
The safari is fitted with Dual Airbags for driver and Co-Driver along with Anti Lock Braking System with Electronic Brake Distribution for effective braking.
