The state of Punjab is having one of the best infrastructures in India with all of its major cities and neighboring states connected through national highways. About 97% metaled roads links to its different villages. Although this state has an agro based economy but still there are a umpteen manufacturing industries of electrical goods, textile, fertilizers, sports goods and bicycle manufacturing plants that have come up in this state. Along with the production of 60% of wheat and 40 % of total rice in India, Punjab boasts of its superb infrastructures thus attracting more foreign direct investments.
