Maruti, the pioneer brand name for the middle class consumers in India has churned out several cars from its stable. The latest launches by Maruti cater to the middle class consumers who can choose from amongst the best in terms of the amazing models.

After much anticipation, the Maruti A Star car has been launched in India. This car is a hatchback model that has been designed keeping in mind the global scenario. Maruti A Star is the fifth global strategic model from Maruti Suzuki. The car will be launched in several countries and will be sold in the name of Alto and Celerio in Europe and other countries. The car will have a new fuel efficient engine that is eco friendly and complies with Euro IV and Euro V emission norms. The car will have the K-Series engine for the gasoline driven car and a wheelbase of 2360 mm produced exclusively in India.

The Maruti Swift car comes with a 1.3 liter Al tech 32 Aluminum engine that generates a power of about 87 BHP and has a seating capacity of 5 adults. The car comes with a state of the art security features that make it one of the best cars at present.

The Maruti SX4 is an amazing car that is great in height, width and breadth and its wheels stand out in proportion. It is available in two variants, the Vxi and Zxi and in colours like metallic silver sky, metallic clear beige, etc. it has a 1586cc, 4 cylinder petrol engine. This can develop maximum power of 102 bhp at 550rpm with a maximum torque of 154 Nm at 4200 rpm. Maruti SX4 can be driven at great speed too.

Maruti Cervo is a five door car that has a sleek look and is available at an economic price. It is a smaller version of Honda fit with neatly defined cuts and lines. The interiors are similar to that of Maruti Swift.

Maruti Swift Desire is a successful launch by Maruti Suzuki that has introduced cars with a global look in the Indian automotive market. The Dzire model is available in six variants- 3 in petrol which are LXi, VXi and Zxi and 3 in Diesel being LDi, VDi and Zdi. There are several attractive colors like Arctic White, Silky Silver, Clear Beige, Midnight Black, Bright Red, Azure Grey, Sovereign Blue.

The other new launch is the Maruti Suzuki Splash which has a 1 litre 3-cylinder petrol engine producing 65 PS. There is also a 1.2 litre, 4-cylinder petrol engine that is developed 86 PS. There is another variant in 1.3 litre common-rail direct injection diesel engine that produces 75 PS. This car is expected to be in the market by 2009.

The new car that Maruti plans to launch is the 'World Car' from its Indian venture based in Gurgaon. This car is expected to hit the roads by 2009.
