The G8 model is similar to the production model of GT. The G8 show model is equipped with 362-horsepower, 6.0 L V-8 engine and optional six speed manual transmission. At the same time some unique features related the show model comprise of twenty inch "shadow chrome" wheels and performance tires, high-performance brake rotors with painted calipers. The four wheel independent suspension uses a MacPherson strut design in the front and a four-link coil-over-shock design in the rear For better stability and enhanced handling the G8 show model is fitted with direct-acting front stabilizer bar, decoupled rear stabilizer bar and lateral ball joints on the rear suspension. The usual four wheel disc brake system which includes standard anti-lock and traction control features is coordinated with standard electronic stability control system.

The production model of G8 could be available in the following exterior colors viz Ignition Orange Metallic, Liquid Red, Magnetic Gray Metallic, Panther Black Metallic, Stealth Blue Metallic and White Hot. The interiors can be done up onyx available in either leather or cloth option.
