The Lexus IS-F has been developed at race tracks world over especially at Fuji Speed way, Higashi-Fuji Technical Center, Nurburgring Nordschleife in Germany and lastly Circuit Paul Ricard in France. With maximum test runs done on Fuji speed way, it carries the F-logo Design at racetracks around the world including Germany's legendary, , Japan's Fuji Speedway and the in Japan. In fact, Fuji Speedway is the IS F's home circuit, and the shape of turn one was the inspiration for the F-logo design.

The Lexus IS-F is truly special as it is equipped with double wishbone front and multi link rear suspension. Its engine is supposed to be paired up the first ever eight-speed direct sport-shift transmission, a better torque converter which provides faster and neater gear change. For the Brakes, the Lexus IS-F is fitted with heavy duty Brembo brakes which are specially manufactured for Lexus. All the four wheels are fitted with high friction brake pads and for the first time the Lexus name is displayed on the calipers.

The Lexus IS-F is a four door luxury sport sedan which can accommodate 4 people. Its body is made by using high quality rust resistant steel. For sound insulation foam material is used in side members and pillars as well as acoustic glass windshield is also used. The 2008 Lexus IS-F is a safe and secure car as it contains airbags for enhanced safety at the front side, side, rear side as well as electronic traction control, electronic stability control, Anti-lock Braking, Front and rear door side impact beams, Front and rear energy-managing crumple zones, collapsible steering column, automatic locking retractor, direct tire pressure monitor system. Its well designed exterior comprises of Headlamps, Bi-xenon HID, auto-leveling headlamps, Adaptive Front lighting System (AFS), Taillamps LED taillamps, Rain-sensing intermittent windshield wipers with mist cycle along with host of other accessories for enhanced sporty look.

The interior of Lexus IS-F is furnished with leather trimmed interior, the steering wheel and rear-seat console have "F" logo embroidered in sides of the seat cushion, and one piece cut pile carpeting. The seats provided are 10-way power front sport seats, which provide lumbar support and three-position memory for driver and front passenger as well. There are heated front seats, height adjustable front shoulder belt anchors, coin holders, cup holders provided for comfort as well.

The Lexus IS-F truly provides a classic audio system for entertainment whilst driving by fitting in the standard Lexus Premium Sound System with Automatic Sound Levelizer (ASL) and in-dash, single-feed, six-disc CD auto-changer, 13 speakers, XM® Satellite Radio, SIRIUS® Satellite Radio, MP3/iPod®/WMA auxiliary audio input plug, Rear glass-imprinted radio antenna with separate FM diversity antenna. At the same time multiple options are available for the users.

The car is developed on the robust IS sport sedan platform, with enhanced V8 engine, a 5.0 liter on, it specially includes the advanced Vehicle Dynamics Integrated Management (VDIM) system and promises to perform extremely well and with smoothness.
