Manufactured by General Motors for Cadillac, 2008 Cadillac CTS replaced the Cadillac Catera. As a venture to boost dipping sales and image, Cadillac has done it level best to capture a percentage of the automobile market. Cadillac CTS was styled on the concept of the Evoq car resembling the edgy styling design.The Cadillac CTS is really a next generation car which potrays the future visions of Cadillac as the car shows the distinctive edge, the cutting niche which may attract prospective buyers.

With meticulous designing at the front comprising of trapezoidal headlights, double bar grille, while the rear contains a gentle slope. The basic model of Cadillac CTs contains an impressive 263 horse power, Bose speakers, MP3 player and Radio Data System 17 inch wheels, climate control, accompanied power lid release and convenience, ultra view sunroof and intermittent font wipers. The interiors of the car is well done and provides an impeccable look. For safety reasons air bags are porvided at the driver and front passenger impact, curtain side impact. Extra comfort seating is due to the armrests in the center front and rear, climate control option with electronic rear window fogger, a centr floor console with shifter, storage and cupholders, door locks, rear child safety locks, keyless entry with lock, telescopic steering column, illuminated vanity mirrors etc.
The engine is a 3.6L V6 VVT engine which generates 263 horsepower @ 6200 RPM and 253 lb-ft of torque @ 3100 RPM. With a better option availble which is the 3.6 liter direct injection V6 VVT engine which uses unleaded gas and offers better mileage, one could check this out too. The suspension of the Cadillac CTS is a 4 wheel independent one, all speed traction control with brake and engine intervention whereas manual 6-speed transmission with mechanical shift linkage is provided for. Cadillac CTS comes in four different collection viz CTS 3.6L V6, CTS Performance Collection, CTS Premium Collection, CTS Luxury Collection. The CTS 3.6L being the basic model, while the other three have varied seating options and other special accessories.

The new and highly innovative Cadillac is 4 door sedan or 2 door coupe on the platform GM Sigma II platform with layout front engines, rear wheel drive or a four wheel drive. This car is rightly places and well be received well in the automobile market. The Cadillac CTS will soon be launched in Australia too, and with hopes it will be well received and will perform well in the Eurpean market as well.
