History of Hyundai Elantra

Hyundai Elantra made its debut in the Korean market in 1991. Its makers envisaged it as a competitor to HondaCivic and Toyota Corolla. In many ways Hyundai Elantra was also an answer to those skeptics who, while they remained uncritical of the quality of Hyundai cars, they were strong detractors of the shapes of some its car models. Hyundai Elantra was thus designed along the lines of European cars. Hyundai Elantra was launched in India in 2004.

Hyundai Elantra also has 2.0L Turbo Intercooled CRDi Diesel engine which provides an astounding 112 ps of power and 25 kgm of torque. The CRDi engine injects pressurized fuel into the engine bringing about fuel efficiency and minimizing noise. Another key feature of Hyundai Elantra is its suspension. The front suspension of Hyundai Elantra has Mcpherson struts with gas filled shock absorbers and coil springs that ensure easy maneuverability.
