Hyundai Elantra
Hyundai Elantra calls itself 'India's first Performance Luxury Sedan' and in consideration of its 1.8 litre DOHC 16 Valve Beta engine, powerful 2.0 litre Turbo Intercooled CRDi engine and the plush upholstery of its interiors- not many people are refuting the claim.
History of Hyundai Elantra
Hyundai Elantra made its debut in the Korean market in 1991. Its makers envisaged it as a competitor to HondaCivic and Toyota Corolla. In many ways Hyundai Elantra was also an answer to those skeptics who, while they remained uncritical of the quality of Hyundai cars, they were strong detractors of the shapes of some its car models. Hyundai Elantra was thus designed along the lines of European cars. Hyundai Elantra was launched in India in 2004.
Features of Hyundai Elantra
Hyundai Elantra's petrol engine is equipped with multi-point fuel injection and an ultra modern microprocessor which ensure better fuel efficiency. Hyundai Elantra also has 2.0L Turbo Intercooled CRDi Diesel engine which provides an astounding 112 ps of power and 25 kgm of torque. The CRDi engine injects pressurized fuel into the engine bringing about fuel efficiency and minimizing noise. Another key feature of Hyundai Elantra is its suspension. The front suspension of Hyundai Elantra has Mcpherson struts with gas filled shock absorbers and coil springs that ensure easy maneuverability.
Some Safety Features of Hyundai Elantra
Brakes
Hyundai Elantra is equipped with Electronic Brake Force Distribution System (EBD), which means that whenever brakes are applied the braking force is distributed between the front and the rear wheels after the weight of the car has been evaluated.
Brakes Assistance Systems
This immensely useful system detects emergency situations and launches greater braking power even at the application of little force.
Pre-tension Seat Belts
These seat belts come useful at the time of collisions, in the sense they prevent the seat belt users to fly out of the car in the event of any mishaps.
