This engine was only an improvement from a carburetor version but lesser refined than a Multi Point Fuel Injection.However things have changed since then as the car has been reloaded with a 1.6 liter Multi Port Fuel Injection Engine which can churn out an amazing 94.5 bhp.
The car can easily touch the 80kmph in less than 10 seconds and a soft response clutch has been added to it to make sure that you don't have to strain yourself much while driving in the crowded city conditions; the comfort of driving with in the city is further accentuated by the presence of the power steering.
The car has all the safety measures in place which will make sure that you will extremely confident irrespective of whether you are driving or riding around with the car. However with a plethora of large number of luxury cars coming to the country, the Opel Astra might just be fading out of the public memory.
