Available in two versions of petrol engine 795 cc and 995 cc, the former three cylinder design engine provides with an attractive mileage of 19.2kpl at a top speed of 142 km/hr. The 995cc engine with a new pedal box design claims to have a mileage of 17.85 kpl at a top sped of 156 km/hr. The monoform design of the Chevrolet Spark maximizes the wheelbase of the car while improving the cabin space. The light weight of the car gives it stability and space to maneuver on the tough Indian roads. The 995 cc engines do provide features like the Anti lock braking system and the driver passenger airbags while the energy absorbing hexagonal profile of the Chevrolet Spark is designed to protect the passengers in the event of an unfortunate head-on or a rear collision.
On the price front, General Motors has pegged the price of Chevrolet Spark in the range of INR 3.09 lakhs to INR 3.89 lakhs, ex-showroom New Delhi. The price is so designed to keep it contention with the other competing cars and provide a wider and open access to the growing Indian automobile market.
