Driving License Form

In India, each state has a 'Regional Transport Authority' or 'Regional Transport Offices' or 'RTOs', that issue driving licenses. Though the minimum age for obtaining a driver's license for small motorcycles (50 cc or less) is 14 years, it is 16-18 years in case of all other vehicles and it varies from state to state. In order to get a driving license, the candidates are required to appear for an oral test and get the learner's license which would be valid for 6 months from the date of issuing. Thereafter, the drivers can pass the driving test to obtain the driving license.

Regarding licensing, most of the legislations are done through the 'Rules of The Road Regulation' and the 'Motor Vehicle Act', 1998. Given below is Form No. 4 for applying for a driving license.
