TYPES of Automobile Batteries

There are two types of automobile batteries-
  • Low Maintenance Batteries
  • Maintenance Batteries
Many prefer Maintenance Batteries to low maintenance ones since the former last longer and can be recharged in no time.

Ratings of Automobile Batteries

Automobile Batteries are rated according to two different parameters-
  • Cold Cranking Amps- (CCA) is measured according to the number of amps the battery can produce at 0 degree centigrade for 30 seconds.
  • Reserve Capacity- (RC) is determined by the number of minutes the battery can produce 25 amps at a voltage that does not slide down 10.5.
