Auto Gas is the name by which Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) is known as when it performs the function of providing fuel to the automobiles.
Chemical Constituents
Chemically, Auto Gas is a mixture of Propane and Butane in fixed proportions. It is extracted as a spin-off after oil has been distilled from crude oil. At a room temperature, Auto gas remains in a gaseous form but through measured application of pressure and change of temperature the gas is compressed into a liquid. This explains its name- Liquefied Petroleum Gas.
